As a kid, drawing was one of my favourite things to do. Later on, growing up as an introvert teen, art became vital to cope with daily life issues. At some point, I had an accident. This time, art helped me not only as a friend but also, as a healer. This led me to combine my path as an artist with art therapy practice.
Since then, creative projects and art therapy workshops are equally present in my life. They complement each other and are a true compass. This is why, on this website, along with my art works you will also find an art therapy section with my current activities. You can have a look at it here.
LA BASTIDA ART | WHY
This website is named after my mother’s family name. In Catalan, my mother tongue, la bastida is the scaffolding construction workers use to build a house. I love the meaning of it since it is literally the structure that helps you build the place you’ll live in. Like a skeleton, it gives you a strong support to flesh out the project you are creating.
I like to think art as the result of an invisible scaffolding that helps us transform our dreams into tangibles objects.
